"Towards the end of the massage, Dolan pulled Ms. Croft towards him. "On each of these occasions, Dolan made unwelcome advances toward Ms. Croft, and she felt obligated to submit to sex with him." Croft told Dolan that she met Weinstein and that he was "sexually aggressive" with her, and Dolan did not "express any surprise at the news," the lawsuit says. Perry continued: "Mr. Dolan always believed Ms. Croft to be a good person and is surprised she would agree to these claims.

The buzziest new entertainment arena is a glowing orb near the Las Vegas strip. The Sphere opened last weekend with a U2 concert attended by the likes of Jeff Bezos and Oprah Winfrey. The biggest draw of the night was arguably not the Irish rock band, though, but the venue itself: the Sphere. The Sphere is a massive, dome-shaped music and entertainment venue that just opened near the Las Vegas strip. "The Sphere in Las Vegas might be the best $2.5 billion dollars ever spent," one person said on X, formerly known as Twitter, alongside a video of the sphere as an emoji.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — It started as a crude sketch — a circle with a stick person inside. He and MSG Ventures CEO David Dibble were trying to create a plan to give the entertainment venue industry a facelift in Las Vegas. “That’s cool,” said Glenn NP Nowak, an architecture professor at the nearby University of Nevada, Las Vegas. However, the Sphere is the most expensive entertainment venue built in Las Vegas, eclipsing the approximately $1.9 billion, 65,000-seat Allegiant Stadium sports facility that opened in 2020. Sept 6 (Reuters) - Four former U.S. Navy officers charged in a massive bribery scandal linked to the man known as Fat Leonard were cleared of felony charges on Wednesday by a judge citing prosecutor misconduct. After the felony charges were cleared, the four former officers each pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor with only a $100 fine as punishment, court documents show. Three of the four former officers - David Newland, James Dolan and Mario Herrera - each admitted to disclosing Navy information to the Malaysian businessman at the center the scandal, Leonard Glenn Francis, known as "Fat Leonard." Prosecutors said that in exchange for contracts, Francis gave Navy officers cash, gourmet food, expensive cigars, rare cognac and hotel sex parties. In 2015 Leonard pleaded guilty to bribing Navy officials through his Singapore-based company, Glenn Defense Marine Asia, which serviced ships in the Navy's Pacific Fleet.

Six years ago, the Madison Square Garden Company, a group that includes James Dolan, the owner of the New York Knicks and the New York Rangers, announced a triumphant entrance into sports’ next frontier: a professional video game league. As e-sports revenue fell below expectations and investors became skeptical of the industry, Madison Square Garden’s owners last year tried to find a way out of the business by selling their marquee team. After years of fanfare, e-sports in the United States are giving way to economic realities. Unable to turn a profit, team owners are cutting costs by laying off employees and ending contracts with star players. In some cases, they are selling their teams and sometimes at a loss, offering a blunt reality check to people who believed e-sports could be the next big thing in entertainment.
MSG Networks, James Dolan's cable-TV channels that feature local New York and New Jersey professional sports games, is launching its own streaming service. MSG Networks also said it recently launched a free, ad-supported streaming TV, or FAST, channel called MSG SportsZone, which is available nationally on Vizio televisions and the Plex streaming platform. The FAST channel features MSG Networks' programming centered around sports betting and classic games. MSG+ will only be available in the region that already carries its MSG Networks on cable-TV. MSG Networks' new streaming service will also allow fans to purchase single game streaming feeds for $9.99 per game.
James Dolan, whose family controls AMC Networks, is interim executive chairman as the company searches for a new CEO. Shortly after becoming chief executive of AMC Networks Inc. last fall, Christina Spade held a town hall at New York’s Museum of the Moving Image to give an update on the state of the business. She also addressed staffers’ anxiety about potential layoffs. Ms. Spade said any job cuts at the media company, whose flagship cable channel is known for such hits as “Breaking Bad” and “The Walking Dead,” would be thoughtful and targeted, not drastic, and would begin in early 2023, according to people familiar with the event, which was in early November. Ms. Spade had hired consulting firm Bain & Co. to craft a measured approach, they said.
Kristin Dolan is already a steady presence inside the company. AMC Networks Inc. Chairman James Dolan parted ways with the company’s last chief executive only three months into her tenure. Now he has found the next one: his wife, Kristin Dolan. The media company, whose flagship cable channel is known for shows like “Breaking Bad,” “The Walking Dead,” and “Mayfair Witches,” announced Ms. Dolan’s appointment as CEO on Wednesday. She takes the position on Feb. 27.

Feb 15 (Reuters) - AMC Networks Inc (AMCX.O) on Wednesday named media industry veteran and long-time board member Kristin Dolan as its chief executive officer, filling a position that had been empty since Christina Spade's abrupt departure in November. Kristin will take the reins of the company behind shows such as "Mad Men" and "The Walking Dead" on Feb. 27. She will receive a base salary of at least $2 million, AMC Networks said. Shares of the company, which is controlled by the Dolan family, rose more than 3% in extended trading. Cord cutting and a gloomy advertising market have weighed on AMC Networks' business, but its streaming unit has emerged as a bright spot.
AMC Networks , the company that owns TV channels like AMC and IFC, named Kristin Dolan its new CEO on Wednesday. She's an industry veteran, and most recently served as CEO of 605, a data analytics firm that measures audience numbers for TV networks. She is also the spouse, albeit separated, of James Dolan, the AMC Networks interim executive chairman James Dolan. The Dolan family has been considering the best way to move AMC Networks forward as it deals with cord-cutting and a tight ad market. For some time now, AMC Networks has been considered an acquisition target for larger media companies looking to bulk up their libraries.
MSG Entertainment is facing criticism for its use of facial recognition to enforce bans at its venues. Dolan doubled down on the tech in a recent interview and made a vague threat to stop selling alcohol at MSG. MSG's use of facial recognition technology to enforce bans has garnered increased scrutiny in recent months. "MSG Entertainment cannot fight their legal battles in their own arenas," Attorney General James wrote in her statement. "Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall are world-renowned venues and should treat all patrons who purchased tickets with fairness and respect."
CNN —The chief executive of the Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corporation has doubled down on using facial recognition at its venues to bar lawyers suing the group from attending events. “At Madison Square Garden, if you’re suing us, we’re just asking of you – please don’t come until you’re done with your argument with us,” he said. Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall are world-renowned venues and should treat all patrons who purchased tickets with fairness and respect. Madison Square Garden is the home of the New York Knicks, Rangers, professional boxing, and college basketball teams. What facial recognition does is looks at, you know, recognizes your face, and says you know, are you someone who’s on this list.”Dolan claimed the State Liquor Authority has threatened MSG’s license over its use of facial recognition technology.
AMC Networks CEO Christina Spade stepped down after only three months in her new role. She is entitled to a severance payout of at least $10.5 million. A November 28 filing details that Spade would receive the severance benefits laid out in her employment agreement. Spade, who joined AMC Networks as CFO last year and became CEO in September, had a minimum annual base salary of $1.75 million, as well as a bonus of double that salary, according to the agreement. "We of course realize that this will cause significant concern and anxiety for our employees and those who rely on AMC Networks for their livelihood," the memo said.
Christina Spade, who departed AMC Networks as CEO on Tuesday, is set to receive more than $10 million in severance. AMC Networks Inc. is planning large-scale layoffs, according to a staff memo from its chairman, a sign of further disruption at a company that earlier Tuesday announced its chief executive had stepped down. “We of course realize that this will cause significant concern and anxiety for our employees and those who rely on AMC Networks for their livelihood,” AMC Chairman James Dolan said in the memo which was reviewed by The Wall Street Journal. “We do not take this lightly. We will take every step possible to minimize the impact of these actions on our community.”
